Join Barbara Branaman at Almaden Yoga for an introduction to QiGong and Taichi.
This workshop will explore the art and science of using breath, posture, and movement to cleanse, refine, accumulate, and circulate Qi (energy or lifeforce) in the body.
Barbara will be teaching the fundamentals of Qi Gong, including:
- Meditations and exercises designed to relax the muscles, increase energetic awareness, and “root” the body deep in to the earth.
- How to use breath, posture and movement to cleanse, refine, accumulate and circulate Qi (energy or lifeforce) in the body.
- Integrating breath, movement and intention to promote health and balance while getting a full mind-body workout.
Barbara is currently pursuing her doctorate in Medical Qi Gong, and continuing her studies in yoga, tai qi, ba gua, and fitness.
Also, as the CEO of Medicine Yoga, Barbara strives to provide the optimal integration of western and eastern healing, yoga, fitness, and lifestyle coaching for people from all walks of life ranging from patients to elite athletes.
The QiGong and Taichi Workshop is at Almaden Yoga on September 25, 2011 from 2-4pm. Early bird registration is available through September 15, 2011 for $30. Registration is $35 after September 15, 2011.
