Therese Swan Launches Tool for Searching Almaden Valley Real Estate by School – UPDATED 2022
Therese Swan, Almaden Valley’s #1 Realtor, has just released a new tool to help Almaden home buyers find the home of their dreams. Buyers can now search Almaden Valley Real Estate by School and/or 2011 API School Scores!

- Almaden Valley Schools: The updated Almaden Valley Real Estate schools page contains links to all Almaden Valley public and private schools as well as links to their GreatSchools ratings. The Almaden Valley Schools page also has school locator links to all districts associated with Almaden Valley.
- Almaden Valley Neighborhoods: The new Almaden Valley Neighborhoods page contains a list of all neighborhoods complete with demographics, unique features, and all real estate activity within the last six months.
- Custom Email Alerts: Sign up for free, no-obligation email alerts that include MLS Listings in the Santa Clara Valley with your special criteria: property features, location, school assignments, etc.
- Contact Therese directly for any additional help with your search.
Other real estate websites show home buyers the closest school, but that may or may not be the school your child will attend. Using this software (US Patent Pending) you can search not only for traditional real estate property features but also by the ASSIGNED school, the API score, or BOTH.
The property information used is updated several times a day from MLS data so the information is kept current. Users of the system will also be able to sign up for email alerts.
The API (Academic Performance Index) is cornerstone of California’s Public Schools Accountability Act of 1999 and measures the academic performance and growth of schools on a variety of academic measures. The new scores for 2011 were just released August 31, 2011.
As always, Almaden Valley Schools performed extremely well: Williams Elementary (973), Graystone Elementary (951), Simonds Elementary (963), Los Alamitos Elementary (924), Guadalupe Elementary (954), Bret Harte Middle (920), Castillero Middle (795), Leland High School (895) and Pioneer High School (828).
Below are sample scenarios of how the tools can be used:
Example 1: I want to find homes under $900,000 in Bret Harte and Leland school areas.
Example 2: I would like to be notified of 4 bedrooms, 2 bath homes between $1m and $1.3m and Elementary API of 900 or greater.
Example 3: My kids are currently at Guadalupe Elementary and we don’t want to change schools but we need a bigger house with either 5 bedrooms or 4 bedrooms plus an office.
