This Saturday, August 6, take part in the “Emerge 5K Country Redneck Run” at Almaden Lake. The run is for adults and children alike, with a special starting time for the more serious timed runners. Registration opens at 8:30am. Country line dancing warm-ups begin at 9am and the race starts at 9:30am. The event will conclude with a closing ceremony, featuring a prize for best costume as well as running awards. Is one of your New Year’s resolutions to participate in more fitness activities? If so, here’s an opportunity to start off 2015 with a “bang!” Almaden Valley Youth Soccer League and Almaden FC is holding their first annual “Kick Off” run on January 1st at Leland High School. This fun event is open to runners and walkers of all ages; everyone is welcome. For the competitive set, medals will be awarded to the top finishers, and all participants who finish their race will receive a pin. Enjoy the scenery of Almaden Quicksilver Park on a run on January 5, 2013. Races will start at 8:30 and 8:45am. The courses will be hilly and will wind through the park. Detailed maps can be found at Troy’s California Trail Runs.
The following options will be available to runners (listed with their respective registration prices): 5K is $45, 10K is $50, and 13.1 miles is $55.
Enjoy the scenery of Almaden Quicksilver Park on a run on November 3, 2012 at 8am. Four fully stocked aid stations will be available during the run. Runners will also be given food at the end of the race – they are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. The courses will be hilly with approximately 40% single track and 60% dirt roads.
Join Almaden Valley’s Run, Turkey, Run! on Thanksgiving Day for its annual fun run and shoe drive benefiting Soles4Souls. The race features 5K and 10K courses, with a combined start. Walkers are also welcome!
Registration for the event is free. Participants are asked to donate a pair of new or gently worn shoes for those in need. Shoe donations will be accepted from 7:30 to 10:30am on race day. Tax deductible donations are also accepted; all proceeds benefit Soles4Souls.

The race starts at Leland High School on Thursday, November 25, 2010, from 8:30-10:30am. Bibs must be picked up prior to race start; they will not be mailed. Bib pick-up starts at 7:30am.

Run or walk in the 18th Annual / 2010 Almaden Times Classic. Events include 10K and 2-mile timed runs, and a 2-mile walk. Proceeds benefit Almaden Valley Counseling Service. The race will take you on a beautiful paved creek trail and through some residential streets in Almaden Valley.
Awards will be given to the top three winners in each age division. Overall male and female winners in the 10K and 2-mile timed runs will also receive a gift certificate. All children will receive a ribbon. Age divisions include: 6 and under, 7-9, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
Your entry fee includes a t-shirt, goodie bag, food, and beverages. Random prizes will also be handed out to participants based on race number (must be present to win). Pick up your bib number and t-shirt on race day.
The start and finish lines are at the parking lot of Leland High School in Almaden Valley. The event is Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 9am. Check-in is at 8am.
If you register online by September 22, 2010, the entry fee is $25 per adult/teen, $13 per child (12 and under), and $60 per family of four (including parents and children).
