This wonderful, fun-filled evening includes live music performances by Pioneer’s “S” Band, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Band; dancing and brief ballroom dance lesson provided by Dance Boulevard at San Jose Dance Center; and appetizers, desserts, silent auction, and raffle prizes. [EVENT IS CLOSED]

Holiday Teddy Bear Tea Party – UPDATED 2022

A Holiday Teddy Bear Tea Party to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is being held on December 12, 2010 from 11am to 5pm at the Almaden Golf and Country Club. Organized by Power in Purple, this event includes tasty treats for adults, hot chocolate and a special menu for children, cookie decorating, a holiday magic show and photos with Santa and a keepsake bear for children. Guitar Quartet Presenting Holiday Concert in Almaden Valley – UPDATED 2022

This South Bay Guitar Society quartet will be playing selections by Enrique Granados, Celso Machado, Zequinha Abreu, Johnny Mercer, Michael Langer & Chen Atkins.

Leland Drama Department Presents Chicago (a.k.a., Play Ball) – UPDATED 2022

Leland Drama Department presents Chicago (a.k.a., Play Ball), a satirical comedy about crime in the 1920’s, with the Leland Jazz Band playing live.

Chicago offers social criticism of our judicial system, and a public fascinated by famous criminals. This one has got it all! (The play is Adapted and Directed by Elizabeth A. Taylor, Leland English and Drama Teacher.)

Chicago was written by Maurine Dallas Watkins, a Journalist and Playwright who covered the female crime wave happening in the Windy City during the 1920’s.

The play is at Leland High School November 17-20, 2010, at 7pm each night, with an additional matinee show on November 20, 2010, at 1:00pm.

General admission tickets will be sold at the door and are $5 per person. The play is not suitable for children under 14 years of age. [EVENT IS CLOSED]

Almaden Community Center 2010 Halloween Party – UPDATED 2022

The party is at the Almaden Community Center on Friday, October 29, 2010, from 5pm to 7pm. The price is $21 per child for San Jose residents, and $25 for non-residents. You can register your child online. [EVENT IS CLOSED]
