See what classes are being offered in Arts & Crafts, Dance, Education & Enrichment, Health & Fitness, and Sports. There are so many great options to pick from, for preschoolers through Active Adults 50+. Spring 2024 season and 2024 summer camp registration will open Saturday, Feb. 24 at 10am. Early registration for scholarship eligible participants will be in person on Wednesday Feb. 14 at 10am. Registration for Active Adult members will begin online and in person on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 10am.

Almaden Baseball and Softball Little League Registration Spring 2024Almaden Baseball and Softball Little League Registration Spring 2024 is open now until Jan. 10!

Baseball Spring Season
Almaden Baseball and Softball Little League rec season runs from March through late May. The league offers as many divisions as demand allows. Historically that means they offer t-ball, coach pitch, machine pitch (A), kid pitch (AA), AAA, Majors, Juniors, and Seniors divisions. These teams play against each other and possibly other teams from other leagues in the same division. At the end of the regular season, teams in AA and above play a tournament to determine an Almaden Little League champion. The AAA and Majors championship teams will play in a tournament against the champions (of the same division) from other nearby leagues (i.e., Tournament of Champions).

Softball Spring Season
As with baseball, the softball rec season runs from March through late May. The league offers as many divisions as demand allows. Historically that means they offer 6u, 8u, 10u, and 12u teams. These teams play against each other and other teams from other leagues in the same division.

Registration for both baseball and softball is open until Jan. 10, so register now!

Make the holidays extra special with this fun-filled holiday party that will transport your child to the North Pole. The North Pole Party includes food, singing, art activities, and even a special gift from the North Pole. Come and see the Almaden Community Center transformed into a winter wonderland! The Almaden Community Center is hosting its annual Breakfast with Santa event on Saturday December 16th. A special holiday breakfast will be served and guests can participate in seasonal arts and crafts. During the event, there will be a visit from Santa! This event is open to people of all ages. There are so many great options to pick from, for preschoolers through Active Adults 50+. Most activities start in January, but the guide also has information about holiday events, so take a look and register now!

In addition to holiday events and winter classes, the Almaden Community Center Winter 2024 Activity Guide has registration information for the Valentine’s Day Painting Party (kids 3-5) and Camp San Jose Presidents Break Camp at Almaden Community Center that runs Tuesday-Friday 2/30-2/23. There’s also information about Citywide Fitness programs for ages 14-55+, which include drop-in volleyball, basketball, badminton, and table tennis.

Registered participants will get to go trick-or-treating along the West Side park trail and visit different stations to take part in activities such as arts & crafts, games, face painting, and a photo area to show off your costume. Activities will be open for registered participants ages 3 to 12 only. Register Now and be entered in a drawing for a Halloween prize! Event is on first come first serve. After sunset, families will be able to enjoy a family friendly movie night featuring “Hocus Pocus.” No registration is required for movie night.

Almaden Community Center Spring 2023 Activity GuideThe Almaden Community Center 2023 Spring Activity Guide is now available! General registration for community center classes, spring break camp and a wide variety of summer camps opens Feb. 25 at 10am. You can register in person at Almaden Community Center or online at www.sjregistration.com.

Dozens of week-long full- and half-day summer camps will take place at the Almaden Community Center or at neighboring parks. Camp instructors are from Mad Science of the Bay, Play-Well TEKnologies, Dance Arts Academy, Young Rembrandts, Futsal Kings, Skyhawks Sports Academy, Engineering for Kids, and more.

Early registration for Active Adults 50+ begins online and in person on Wednesday Feb. 22 at 10am. From creative crafts to pickleball, there’s something for everyone!

Almaden Baseball and Softball Little League

Almaden Baseball and Softball Little LeagueAlmaden Baseball and Softball Little League registration is still open until January 15, 2023. From Tee Ball to Senior League, the Almaden Baseball and Softball little league program includes divisions for all children ages 4–16.

Little League is an all-volunteer organization. The board of directors, managers, coaches, field crews, and umpires are all unpaid volunteers. Parents will be expected to volunteer for a variety of volunteer positions in order to make this year the best ever!

Harvest Festival at Almaden Community CenterThe Almaden Community Center is hosting its 15th Annual Harvest Festival this weekend, on Saturday, October 15th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. This is an event that you can enjoy with the entire family, but it’s extra special for kids.

Create beautiful harvest themed arts and crafts items at the arts-n-crafts area, play carnival games, find pumpkins for your fall decor at the pumpkin patch or experience some freaky, scary moments at the haunted hallway.
