2026 Leland Science FairThe 2026 Leland Science Fair will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, at 3:45 p.m.

Deadline for student and judge registration is Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026.

The Leland Science Fair showcases students in San Jose who will become our future scientists, technology experts, engineers, and mathematicians. This competition inspires achievement by elementary, middle and high school students.

Santa Storytime and Craft

Santa Storytime and CraftCome to the Almaden Library on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm for a special Santa Storytime and Craft for children. Join Santa for stories, songs, and a cool craft afterward. Photo opportunity at the end.

Please note that Santa will need to return to the North Pole at 4:30pm. He will accommodate as many children as possible. This program is geared for children of all ages and their parents/caregivers.

Free. No registration required. This program is developed to align with the Early Education Quality Standards.

Almaden Community Center Winter 2026The Almaden Community Center Winter 2026 Activity Guide is now available! See what classes are being offered in Arts & Crafts, Dance, Sports, and more. There are so many great options for preschoolers through Active Adults 50+. Most activities start in January 2026, but the guide also has information about 2025 holiday events such as Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, as well as Winter Camps running from 2/18 – 2/20, 2026.

 

Classes and events fill up quickly, so don’t delay! Register in person at the Almaden Community Center or sign up online at www.sjregistration.com.

Every month the museum offers a new and exciting crafternoon from 12pm-4pm. Learn about local wildlife, history, and more while making a craft to take home. Free drop-in event, great for all ages.

Description:

A fun and competitive indoor full-court basketball program accommodating youths from 1st grade to high school. Targeted for players with no experience to players who have played many years.

Format:

Almaden Youth Basketball will form teams for all individual players that register, recruit volunteer coaches, provide indoor practice gym space and organize games for each team.

Almaden Little League Fall 2025It’s time to register for Almaden Little League Fall 2025 baseball and softball!

Registration

Almaden Little League offers 2 seasons to register for. The Spring season runs from February through May, and registration opens in November and runs through December. The Fall season runs from September to early November and registration opens in July.
