Registration for the 10th Annual / 2011 Math Enrichment Summer Program at Leland High School begins on February 1, 2011.
Discounts for early registration and families will be available, so check the program website early.

Almaden Valley Child Development Centers (CDCs) are holding open house for the new year. CDC programs offer before and after school educational and recreational opportunities for school age children.
Child Development Centers aim to enrich the lives of children through quality, accredited child development programs that support emergent curriculum based on the child’s learning style, temperament, and needs. CDCs put children at the center of an interconnected circle of families, teachers, and the community.
At the beginning of every year the private schools in Almaden Valley hold open house and open enrollment for prospective and returning students.

SeniorNet Learning Center of Almaden has released its Winter 2011 Course Schedule. [EVENT IS CLOSED]

Registration for the Winter 2011 Session is at the Almaden Community Center on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at 11:30am. Classes are also at the Almaden Community Center, and begin January 10, 2011 and end March 7, 2011. (Most of the courses are one day a week for two hours, and last from four to eight weeks.)
The price for an annual membership to SeniorNet is $40. The annual renewal fee for existing members is $30. Individual courses range from $10 to $20 each.
The Guadalupe River Park Conservancy offers a wide variety of fascinating educational opportunities. On Wednesday, September 29th Santa Cruz District Archaeologist Mark Hylkema will be presenting a learning experience on the Lifeways of the Ohlone Indians, one of the tribes that inhabited our area. Pioneer High School Education Foundation is now holding its e-waste collection events on the first Saturday of each month throughout the 2010/2011 academic year. All proceeds benefit Pioneer High School’s academic and technology programs.
Discard your old computers, TVs, monitors, printers, cell phones, entertainment equipment, tools, small appliances, and any other electronic and battery-powered devices. Just drive up and volunteers will unload for you.

Support the 2010 Los Alamitos Silent Auction. All proceeds benefit Los Alamitos Elementary School‘s award winning music, art, and science programs. Approximately $154,000 is needed for classroom supplies, programs, and events.
Bid on a number of fantastic items, including sporting events, concert tickets, restaurant gift certificates, hotel stays, vacation rentals, rounds of golf, and home décor. Also bid on premium items such as a guitar autographed by the members of U2, and a record album autographed by Michael Jackson. You can also support Los Alamitos by making a donation or by volunteering for the auction.
