Registration for the 10th Annual / 2011 Math Enrichment Summer Program at Leland High School begins on February 1, 2011.

Discounts for early registration and families will be available, so check the program website early.

Winter 2011 Open House Schedule for Almaden Valley Child Development Centers (CDCs) – UPDATED 2022

At the beginning of every year the private schools in Almaden Valley hold open house and open enrollment for prospective and returning students.

SeniorNet Learning Center of Almaden – Winter 2011 Registration and Courses – UPDATED 2022

Choose from a number of different computer, Internet, and software application courses, including an Introduction to Google and Introduction to Facebook. Download the Winter 2011 Session Brochure.

Registration for the Winter 2011 Session is at the Almaden Community Center on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at 11:30am. Classes are also at the Almaden Community Center, and begin January 10, 2011 and end March 7, 2011. (Most of the courses are one day a week for two hours, and last from four to eight weeks.)

The price for an annual membership to SeniorNet is $40. The annual renewal fee for existing members is $30. Individual courses range from $10 to $20 each.

Pioneer High School 2010 / 2011 E-Waste Collection Events – UPDATED 2022

Logo: Pioneer High School Education FoundationPioneer High School Education Foundation is now holding its e-waste collection events on the first Saturday of each month throughout the 2010/2011 academic year. All proceeds benefit Pioneer High School’s academic and technology programs.

Discard your old computers, TVs, monitors, printers, cell phones, entertainment equipment, tools, small appliances, and any other electronic and battery-powered devices. Just drive up and volunteers will unload for you.

Businesses with large quantities of e-waste can have them picked up by contacting 1st Choice Recycling at support@1stchoicerecycling.com or 877-715-5515.

The event is at the Pioneer High School student parking lot, the first Saturday of each month, beginning September 4, 2010 and ending on May 7, 2011, from 9am to 4pm. [EVENT IS CLOSED]

2010 Los Alamitos Silent Auction in Almaden Valley – UPDATED 2022

Photo: Los Alamitos Elementary School signSupport the 2010 Los Alamitos Silent Auction. All proceeds benefit Los Alamitos Elementary School‘s award winning music, art, and science programs. Approximately $154,000 is needed for classroom supplies, programs, and events.

Bid on a number of fantastic items, including sporting events, concert tickets, restaurant gift certificates, hotel stays, vacation rentals, rounds of golf, and home décor. Also bid on premium items such as a guitar autographed by the members of U2, and a record album autographed by Michael Jackson. You can also support Los Alamitos by making a donation or by volunteering for the auction.

The auction is at Los Alamitos cafeteria on Saturday, September 25, 2010, from 9:00am to 2:00pm. [EVENT IS CLOSED]
