Update on February 16, 2011: The Spring 2011 Activity Guide for Almaden Community Center is now available.

San Jose Parks Recreation & Neighborhood Services has released its City Wide Activity Guide for Spring & Summer 2010. The guide includes all of the activities planned for the Almaden Community Center.

Almaden Valley residents have a variety of activities to choose from, including the following: arts and crafts, camps, dance, early childhood recreation, education and enrichment, health and fitness, music, sports leagues and drop-ins, cooking, specialty programs, senior programs and events, and family events.

Registration for Spring & Summer 2010 activities begins on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10am. View the most recent Almaden Community Center Activity Guide.

Castillero’s Advanced Drama Presents Bye, Bye Birdie – UPDATED 2022

Bye Bye BirdieCastillero’s Advanced Drama is bringing you Bye, Bye Birdie, the hip, rock-n-roll smash hit! The plot revolves around rock and roll superstar Conrad Birdie and the complications that arise when his agent stages a publicity stunt on The Ed Sullivan Show in which he will kiss one lucky girl from Sweet Apple, Ohio before being drafted into the army. Featured cast members include Brian Clark and Garrett Meyer as Albert, Jamie Landrum and Carly Giacinto as Rosie, and Molly Veregge and Tiani Hernandez as Kim. All performances at Castillero’s Black Box Theatre. Tickets are on sale now for performances on March 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20, 2010. Curtain is at 7:30pm for all dates. Celebrate Month of the Young Child with Tim Cain – UPDATED 2022

Celebrate Month of the Young Child with musician and performer, Tim Cain. His music will delight and entertain both young and old alike.

Tim Cain’s performance has been made possible by a generous gift from the Friends of the Almaden Library.

The event takes place at the Almaden Branch Library in the Children’s Area on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 11:00-11:40am. [EVENT IS CLOSED]

Almaden Athletics Spring Break Basketball Camp – UPDATED 2022

BasketballAlmaden Athletics Spring Break Basketball Camp for boys and girls ages 8-13. The camp builds and improves a player’s skills and abilities in the areas of passing, shooting, rebounding, dribbling, play execution, and position playing. The instructor is Keno Carr, and supervisor is Lacee Kortsen. The camp will be held at the Almaden Community Center, April 12-16, 2010 from 9am-3pm. R.O.C.K. After School President’s Week Day Camp – UPDATED 2022

R.O.C.K. After School President’s Week Day Camp. Boys and girls ages 6-11. Games, sports, craft projects, and a field trip to Sharks Ice for an afternoon of ice skating.
