Almaden Community Center Activity Guide Summer 2026If you’re already thinking about how to fill those long summer days, the Almaden Community Center Activity Guide Summer 2026 has you covered. Browse offerings across Arts & Crafts, Dance, Sports, Education, and Fitness, and you’ll find something for virtually every interest and age group. Summer camps are a big draw again this year, with dozens of options for kids. There are Sports and Cheerleading camps offered by Skyhawks, Kidz Love Soccer and Futsal Kingz; Dance and Performing Arts camps offered by Dance Arts Academy and CLAP; Tech camps offered by Code For Fun and Engineering For Kids; Creative LEGO® camps offered by Snapology and Play-Well Tek; and so much more! Whether your child loves being active, getting creative, or a little of both, there’s a camp to match.

When Does Registration Open?

Mark your calendar — general registration opens Saturday, May 2 at 10am. But there are two earlier windows to know about:

  • Scholarship-eligible participants: In-person early registration on Wednesday, April 22 at 10am.
  • Active Adult members (50+): Online and in-person registration begins Wednesday, April 29 at 10am.

The Almaden Community Center is more than a place to take classes — it’s a community hub. Facilities include a Fitness Center, Teaching Kitchen, Dance Studio, Gym, Preschool Programs, Computer Lab, and Teen Center/Game Room. Whether you’re dropping in for a workout or signing the kids up for a week-long camp, everything is under one roof at 6445 Camden Ave., San Jose, CA 95120.

Almaden Community Center Spring Egg Hunt 2026

Almaden Community Center Spring Egg Hunt 2026It’s time for the Almaden Community Center Spring Egg Hunt 2026! On Saturday, March 28, 2026, kids ages 1–12 are invited to an unforgettable morning of egg hunting, prizes, and festive arts and crafts at the Almaden Community Center.

Age-Specific Sessions for Every Kid

The Spring Egg Hunt 2026 is divided into four age groups so every child gets an experience just right for them. Each session runs approximately 30 minutes and begins with wristband pickup, so plan to arrive 15 minutes early.

Ages 1–3: 9:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.

Ages 4–6: 9:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.

Ages 7–9: 10:00 a.m. or 11:30 a.m.

Ages 10–12: 11:45 a.m.

What to Bring & Know

Bring your own bag or basket for collecting eggs. Note that strollers are not permitted in the hunt area for the youngest group (ages 1–3), and parent participation is not allowed for ages 4 and up. The event is held at the Almaden Community Center, 6445 Camden Ave, San Jose, CA 95120. This is a rain or shine event, so come prepared!

Santa Storytime and Craft

Santa Storytime and CraftCome to the Almaden Library on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm for a special Santa Storytime and Craft for children. Join Santa for stories, songs, and a cool craft afterward. Photo opportunity at the end.

Please note that Santa will need to return to the North Pole at 4:30pm. He will accommodate as many children as possible. This program is geared for children of all ages and their parents/caregivers.

Free. No registration required. This program is developed to align with the Early Education Quality Standards.

Almaden Community Center Winter 2026The Almaden Community Center Winter 2026 Activity Guide is now available! See what classes are being offered in Arts & Crafts, Dance, Sports, and more. There are so many great options for preschoolers through Active Adults 50+. Most activities start in January 2026, but the guide also has information about 2025 holiday events such as Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, as well as Winter Camps running from 2/18 – 2/20, 2026.

Looking for free family friendly crafts to do in the Almaden Valley? Look no further than Almaden Quicksilver County Park’s Mining Museum at Casa Grande.

Every month the museum offers a new and exciting crafternoon from 12pm-4pm. Learn about local wildlife, history, and more while making a craft to take home. Free drop-in event, great for all ages.

Almaden Community Center Activity Guide Summer 2025The Almaden Community Center Activity Guide Summer 2025 is now available, offering classes in Arts & Crafts, Dance, Sports, Education, and Fitness, for preschoolers through Active Adults 50+. There are also dozens of summer camps for kids of all ages, such as Basketball Camp, Cheerleading Camp, Colorful Critters Pastel Camp, Minecraft with LEGO® Camp, and Frozen and Friends Dance Camp!

Summer 2025 season registration will open Saturday, May 3 at 10am. Early registration for scholarship eligible participants will be in person on Wednesday April 23 at 10am. Registration for Active Adult members will begin online and in person on Wednesday, April 30 at 10am. Summer camp registration is already open.

In addition to classes, camps, and programs, the Almaden Community Center has a Fitness Center, Teaching Kitchen, Preschool Programs, Dance Studio, Gym, Computer Lab and Teen Center/Game Room.

About Almaden Library Storytime

Storytime is designed to accommodate a mix of ages and invites the entire family to participate in early literacy activities such as stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement activities. Storytime is a fun and interactive experience for the whole family that promotes the joys of reading and learning for all ages.

Free, with limited capacity.

Seating for Storytime is available on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of tickets will be distributed at the Information Desk before Storytime.

This program is developed to align with the Early Education Quality Standards.
