COMPETITIVE LEAGUE (9U/3rd to 16U/HSJV)

> Team tryouts: February 9-10 & February 22, 2026
> Practices start: March 9, 2026
> AAU tournaments: 6+ from March to May, 2026

Registration: mid-August
Practice Starts: October
Games played: December – March

Description:

A fun and competitive indoor full-court basketball program accommodating youths from 1st grade to high school. Targeted for players with no experience to players who have played many years.

Format:

Almaden Youth Basketball will form teams for all individual players that register, recruit volunteer coaches, provide indoor practice gym space and organize games for each team.

Almaden Youth Basketball Registration 2024-25

Almaden Youth BasketballAlmaden Youth Basketball registration is open for Fall 2024 and Winter 2024-25 seasons. Fall registration started in July and tryouts begin in August for games played September-November. Tryouts are for registered players only. Winter registration opens in August for games played December-March.

FALL 2024 SEASON KEY DATES:

COMPETITIVE LEAGUE (10U/4th to 16U/HSJV)
• Registration Opens: Jul 19 2024
• Team tryouts: Aug 12-13 2024
• Practices start: Aug 26 2024
• AAU tournaments: Sep to Nov 2024

WINTER 2024-25 SEASON KEY DATES:

• Registration Opens: Aug 10 2024

ROOKIE LEAGUE (1st – 2nd Grades)
• Mandatory Player Evaluations: Nov 2024
• Practices start: mid-Nov 2024
• Almaden Jamboree: TBD
• Season Game: Feb 2025

DIVISIONAL LEAGUE (3rd – 8th Grades)
• Mandatory Player Evaluations: Sep 2024
• Practices start: Oct 2024

Drop-In-Sports Back at the Almaden Community Center

Drop in sports at almaden community centerGreat news for the community! Drop-in-sports are back at the Almaden Community Center. You can play Volleyball on Friday nights, and Basketball and Table-Tennis from 9am to 12pm on Saturday mornings.

Location:
Volleyball: at the Gym. Hours: Fridays – 6pm to 8pm.
Basketball: at the Gym. Hours: Saturdays – 9am to 12noon.
Table-Tennis: at the Community Room. Hours: Saturdays – 9am to 12noon.

Drop-in pricing:
Adults: $5.50 per session (Monthly: $27, Annual: $145)
Youth (14+), Seniors and Disabled: $2.75 per session (Monthly: $21, Annual $145)
