Almaden Seniors Swing and SwayThe Almaden Seniors Swing and Sway Big Band Event at the Almaden Community Center is the Almaden Senior Association’s premier event for the fall. Come listen to the music of a big band! Dance and swing to the music of The Millennium Sounds Orchestra playing songs by Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey and others.

Lunch is provided with carved roast beef, carved ham and baked chicken, with mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad, rolls and dessert.

When: Saturday, September 26, 12pm to 3pm
Where: Almaden Community Center, 6445 Camden Ave., San Jose 95120

Sign-ups start on August 17, then M/W/F 8am to 10am, in the Almaden Community Center Lobby, 6445 Camden Ave., San Jose.

Tickets: $35. Cash or check (make checks payable to ASA).

This wonderful, fun-filled evening includes live music performances by Pioneer’s “S” Band, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Band; dancing and brief ballroom dance lesson provided by Dance Boulevard at San Jose Dance Center; and appetizers, desserts, silent auction, and raffle prizes. [EVENT IS CLOSED]

Castillero Middle School’s 12th Annual Big Band Dance ConcertCastillero Middle School is holding it’s 12th Annual Big Band Dance concert. The adult only event features live music by FreeFahlen, performances by Castillero’s jazz bands, dancing, dessert, raffle drawing, and silent auction.
