Almaden Senior Association 2024 Cinco de Mayo Event

Tickets go on sale soon for the Almaden Senior Association 2024 Cinco de Mayo event! The event will be held this year on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 12-3pm.

Come join the excitement for a Cinco de Mayo Mexican Taco Lunch served at noon followed by entertainment by Latin Pop Duo, IndiviDuo.

Tickets go on sale Monday, April 15 from 8-10am and every M,W,F in the lobby of the Almaden Community Center until sold out. $22 for members, $25 for non-members, cash or check.

About the Almaden Senior Association

The Almaden Senior Association is an all-volunteer organization of Active Adults (50+) which initiates, supports and promotes programs and activities for the active adult population at the City-operated Almaden Community Center. The Association works in collaboration with City staff responsible for operating the Center.

The Association meets monthly on the first Wednesday of each month. Membership offers opportunities to enjoy…

Exercise classes for all levels and abilities.
Lunch events with entertainment run by members of the association.
Trips with local and not so local places of interest.

Annual membership is free, and includes a monthly newsletter with upcoming events and information for our members plus discounts for classes for Active Adults 50+ at the Almaden Community Center. Almaden Community Center Courtyard Carnival

May is Older Americans Month and the Almaden Community Center is celebrating Almaden’s seniors this week with a special event: the Almaden Community Center Courtyard Carnival. Seniors over 50 are welcome to enjoy activities and games with prizes. Those in need can also access resources for seniors.

Senior Safari at the Happy Hollow Park and Zoo

Happy Hollow Park and Zoo’s Senior Safari is back this year. So if you’d like to get some love from animals, head over to the Happy Hollow Park and Zoo for a little petting time. Seniors 50+ can enjoy free early entry into the park and zoo (before 10:00 am) to meet and greet animals and other activities! The first of six free events is this week, May 26. Additional dates are June 23, July 28, August 25, September 22 and October 27.

Almaden Senior Program’s 2012 St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

St. Patrick's Day Celebration 2011 Almaden Senior Program is holding its St. Patrick’s Day Celebration for seniors.

Lunch includes corned beef with tangy mustard sauce, spinach salad with red onions and cranberries, butter braised cabbage with curry powder, and boiled small red potatoes and dill carrots.

Also enjoy Shillelagh punch, and Irish cream chocolate mousse for dessert. Entertainment will include world famous Irish dancers.

This celebration is presented by Councilmember Nancy Pyle and Almaden Senior Program. The celebration is at the Almaden Community Center on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 12pm.

Tickets can be purchased near the sports and fitness desk inside the Almaden Community Center. Tickets are $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Tickets are limited to four per person.

Almaden Senior Program 2012 Trip Schedule
