Motivating Our Teens to Excellence Seminar
As parents, we are extremely important to our children. What we say and do are noticed and absorbed into who they are, how they feel about themselves, and what they want to become.
They learn to navigate their world and make choices based on our relationship with them. This seminar will explore ways in which we can empower our kids to be the best they can be.
It will also discuss risk factors that lead to poor choices and how we can minimize these so that our teenagers can be healthier – mentally, emotionally, and socially.
This seminar will be led by Dr. Susan Oh Cha, a licensed clinical psychologist with over two decades of experience working in various settings, including university counseling centers, hospitals, and community mental health agencies.
She recently co-authored “Guest Pass: Access To Your Teen’s World” with her daughter, Yumi. Dr. Cha has given numerous lectures and workshops on parenting and developmental issues, especially related to teens and their families.
Dr. Susan Oh Cha is currently in private practice with a group of multi-disciplinary mental health professionals.
The seminar is at Leland High School on May 2, 2012 from 7-8pm.
