Teen Talent Show 2010 Finale in Almaden Valley – UPDATED 2022

[logo: teen talent show] Winners of the regional Teen Talent Show tournaments will by in Almaden Valley to show off their unique talents and compete in the 2010 Teen Talent Show Finale. Come and enjoy the remarkable talent of our local teens.

The regional tournaments are being held at six San Jose branch library locations on Saturday, May 1, 2010, 2-4pm. Prizes will be awarded to 1st – 3rd place winners at the regional events.

The first and second place winners from each of the regional tournaments will participate in a final competition at the Almaden Branch Library on Saturday, May 15, 2010, 3-5pm. Winners of the finale will win even bigger prizes!

You can pick up a registration packet at any library. You must submit the registration form to the tournament location you plan to compete at. Spaces are limited, so sign up today!

Cheerleading Summer Camp – UPDATED 2022

[photo: cheerleader pom pom] Cheerleading Summer Camp participants learn everything from fundamental arm movements, kicks, jumps, and turns to flips, chants, routines, and proper warm-ups and stretching.

Campers perform a full cheer routine for parents, guardians, and friends on the last day of class. This camp is guaranteed to be a blast. Cheerleading Summer Camp is for boys and girls ages 6-11.

Almaden Jr. Chef’s Summer Camp – Summer 2010 – UPDATED 2022

[photo: boy jr. chef] Sign your child up for Almaden Jr. Chef’s Summer Camp. Campers will learn basic cooking techniques, fun how to’s, healthy eating tips, and design their own herb garden and reusable shopping bag.

The camp also features multicultural food demonstrations and supervised play time. Sign your child up for one or two weeks. The camp is for boys and girls ages 6-10. The camper to staff ratio is 1:12. The price is $295 per camper for one week.

Floral Demonstration to Feature Bloomster’s Kren Rasmussen – UPDATED 2022

[photo: bloomster's floral designs] Martino Interiors is hosting a floral demonstration event at its studio in Los Gatos. The event will feature Kren Rasmussen, founder of Bloomster’s Floral Designs in Almaden Valley. The event is free.

Kren will show you how to create striking floral arrangements and combine them with home accessories, creating beautiful vignettes and centerpieces.

Bloomster’s has been in Almaden Valley for more than 20 years, assisting interior designers with their floral and plant design projects, and providing unique floral designs and personal service to residents in Almaden Valley and the entire Bay Area.

There are three different one-week camps to choose from: Spybots (ages 6-9), Pro Builders (ages 7-9), and Rev-Up (ages 6-9). Each class will involve five building projects, one each day of the week. Students take home a CD with building instructions and a camp t-shirt. Read the class descriptions.

GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp at Leland High School in Almaden Valley – UPDATED 2022

[photo: lacrosse teens] GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps is holding a Lacrosse Summer Camp in Almaden Valley. The GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps are considered the finest in the country because of the coaching staff, which consists of the best coaches and players in the world today.

The lacrosse camp in Almaden Valley will be directed by Drew Virk, a former MLL San Francisco Dragon, NLL San Jose Stealth, and current Stanford University Head Coach.

The camp also feature ten skills clinics to develop all facets of each player’s game. Players will improve their stick, shooting, and defensive skills, as well as develop a greater understanding of team play – all in a fun and positive atmosphere.

To maximize improvement all campers are grouped by age and ability after individual evaluations. The camp is for athletes ages 8-18, from beginner skill level to top high school players.

Leland High School 2010 Fashion Show Benefit – “The Fifth Season” – UPDATED 2022

All proceeds for this year’s event go to World Concern, a non-profit humanitarian organization providing community development and disaster response to the World’s poor in Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

The silent auction and raffle will feature a number of brand name items, including Juicy Couture, Ellie Tahari, Banana Republic, iPod Touch, Santana Row’s W’s Salon, Snap Fitness gift baskets, and several gift cards and gift certificates to a variety of restaurants and boutiques. Each guest is automatically entered in a drawing for a $50 Cheesecake Factory Gift Card, sponsored by Silicon Valley REO.
