Instructors from Brick Tech, Futsol Kingz, Dance Arts Academy, Skyhawks, Young Rembrandts and more are back with fun and educational classes in basketball, golf, cheerleading, cartoon drawing, LEGO® creativity – the list goes on! You can also find information about the R.O.C.K. afterschool program and Camp San Jose Fall Break Camp, as well as special fall and winter events including the 19th Annual Harvest Festival and Boo-tique as well as Breakfast with Santa and the North Pole Party. There are so many great options to choose from, for families, kids, and adults of all ages.

Thursday July 9, 2026: The Iconics

From the The Iconics website: We are a 7-member band covering the most iconic 60’s Rock, Pop, Surf and Soul music. Let us transport you back to the early and vibrant days of rock ‘n’ roll!

Thursday July 16, 2026: Chain of Fools

From the Chain of Fools website: Chain of Fools is a hot rockin’ dance band playing new and classic rock and blues dance tunes, with outstanding lead vocals and harmonies, and smoking guitar licks.

Thursday July 23, 2026: Country Cougars

From the Country Cougars website: The Country Cougars are a hot rockin’ country band playing modern and classic country and are one of Northern California’s favorite bands! The energy of this band is high octane and can light a fire on any dance floor!

Thursday July 30, 2026: The Houserockers

From the Houserockers website: The Houserockers are a 10-piece Rock & Soul band from Northern California that plays the greatest songs ever recorded. With a wailing 5-piece horn section and rock solid rhythm section, we bring the timeless classics and today’s hits to life.

The Almaden Summer Concert Series 2026 shows are from 6:30-8 pm. Bring your own lawn chairs, drinks, and snacks and enjoy a great evening with your friends and family!

The Almaden Community Center has also partnered with Lazy Dog Restaurant on a fundraiser again! From Thursday, July 9 through Friday, July 31, you can support the Almaden Youth Advisory Council by showing the flyer available on the Almaden Community Center Facebook page to your server. 15% of your total bill will be donated back to the organization.

Bay Cruise on the USS Potomac

Bay Cruise on the USS PotomacThe Almaden Senior Association presents a bay cruise on the USS Potomac! Enjoy a day of history, scenery and fun on the USS Potomac, President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s historic yacht, sailing out of Jack London Square in Oakland. While taking a 2-hour cruise around the Bay, you’ll see picturesque views of the San Francisco skyline and waterfront. You’ll cruise by lighthouses, islands and under bridges while listening to the history of surrounding landmarks and the ship. After the cruise, you will take the Almaden Senior Association bus to the Oakland Grill Restaurant for a relaxing lunch before heading back to Almaden.

Date: July 23, 2026
Time: Depart Almaden Community Center at 8am and return at approximately 5:30pm
Cost: $125 per person (cash or check) includes bus transportation, cruise and lunch

About This Event

Set your future space explorers on a trajectory from our Earth’s atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system! This hands-on program brings them closer to the stars, planets, comets, and more. They learn about living in space, getting away from gravity, looking for space phenomena, and they participate in a rocket launch!

Almaden Seniors Luncheon and Parrot Show Spring 2026

Almaden Seniors Spring Luncheon 2026

The Almaden Senior Association is hosting its Almaden Seniors Luncheon and Parrot Show on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Almaden Community Center. This year’s theme, “Spring Takes Flight,” sets the tone for an afternoon that brings together good food, live animal entertainment, and the kind of neighborly gathering that makes Almaden such a welcoming place to call home.

Live Entertainment from the Happy Birds Parrot Show

The afternoon’s entertainment features a live performance by the Happy Birds Parrot Show. The show is described as engaging and interactive, giving attendees a chance to see trained parrots up close. It’s the sort of lighthearted, community-friendly programming that the Almaden Senior Association has long been known for bringing to the neighborhood.

A sit-down luncheon is included as part of the event. The menu features:

Packed with programs for every age — from preschoolers taking their first dance steps to Active Adults 50+ staying fit and connected — the guide is your go-to resource for a fun, active summer in the Almaden Valley.

Browse offerings across Arts & Crafts, Dance, Sports, Education, and Fitness, and you’ll find something for virtually every interest and age group. Summer camps are a big draw again this year, with dozens of options for kids. There are Sports and Cheerleading camps offered by Skyhawks, Kidz Love Soccer and Futsal Kingz; Dance and Performing Arts camps offered by Dance Arts Academy and CLAP; Tech camps offered by Code For Fun and Engineering For Kids; Creative LEGO® camps offered by Snapology and Play-Well Tek; and so much more! Whether your child loves being active, getting creative, or a little of both, there’s a camp to match.

When Does Registration Open?

Mark your calendar — general registration opens Saturday, May 2 at 10am. But there are two earlier windows to know about:

  • Scholarship-eligible participants: In-person early registration on Wednesday, April 22 at 10am.
  • Active Adult members (50+): Online and in-person registration begins Wednesday, April 29 at 10am.

Almaden Community Center Spring Egg Hunt 2026

Almaden Community Center Spring Egg Hunt 2026It’s time for the Almaden Community Center Spring Egg Hunt 2026! On Saturday, March 28, 2026, kids ages 1–12 are invited to an unforgettable morning of egg hunting, prizes, and festive arts and crafts at the Almaden Community Center.

Age-Specific Sessions for Every Kid

The Spring Egg Hunt 2026 is divided into four age groups so every child gets an experience just right for them. Each session runs approximately 30 minutes and begins with wristband pickup, so plan to arrive 15 minutes early.

Ages 1–3: 9:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.

Ages 4–6: 9:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.

Ages 7–9: 10:00 a.m. or 11:30 a.m.

Ages 10–12: 11:45 a.m.

What to Bring & Know

Bring your own bag or basket for collecting eggs. Note that strollers are not permitted in the hunt area for the youngest group (ages 1–3), and parent participation is not allowed for ages 4 and up. The event is held at the Almaden Community Center, 6445 Camden Ave, San Jose, CA 95120. This is a rain or shine event, so come prepared!

Almaden Community Center Spring 2026 Activity GuideThe Almaden Community Center 2026 Spring Activity Guide is now available! Register now for Spring 2026 classes and special events geared to all ages – from early childhood “Tea with Teddy!” to older adults cardio drumming – a wide variety of activities and sports for everyone at all levels.

You can also register for spring break camps as well as a broad assortment of summer leisure and sport camps taking place at the Almaden Community Center or at neighboring parks. Instructors are from Brick Tech, CLAP Arts, Code For Fun, Dance Arts Academy, Engineering For Kids, Futsal Kingz, GURUS Education, Mad Science, Play-Well TEKnologies, Skyhawks, Snapology, Young Rembrandts, and more.

Also in the Almaden Community Center Spring 2026 Activity Guide is information about Citywide Fitness. The fitness room is open Monday through Saturday and includes aerobic fitness and core exercises. Citywide Fitness also offers drop-in sports including pickleball, volleyball, basketball, badminton, and table tennis. Participants must be at least 14 years old and must complete and sign a liability waver.

Join this sweet evening of dancing, laughter, and special memories. Children and their favorite grownups – parents, grandparents, guardians, or caring adults – are invited to celebrate together in a fun and festive setting that includes a live DJ, refreshments, and a complimentary rose for each child!
