Quicksilver Running Club 2011 Quicksilver Trail Half Marathon and 10K
Quicksilver Running Club is holding its 2011 Quicksilver Trail Half Marathon and 10K.
The races are on scenic, hilly dirt trails in the historic mining territory of Almaden Quicksilver County Park.
You will run or walk through peaceful oak forests and open meadows, with great views of Santa Clara Valley, Almaden Valley, and Santa Cruz Mountains.
Although the course is very challenging, the beautiful scenery will make the miles go by quickly. If you’ve only run roads before, Quicksilver trails are a wonderful introduction to trail running. Check out the course map.
Quicksilver Running Club (QRC) was established to promote physical well-being and friendships through running. The club currently organizes two races in the historic Almaden Quicksilver County Park.
The registration fee is $35 for either race if you register by September 14, 2011. Registration closes September 15, 2011 at 11:59pm. You can register online.
Meet at the Hacienda Entrance of Almaden Quicksilver County Park on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 8:30am.
