2011 New Almaden Day and Jump-In Parade
The 2011 New Almaden Day and Jump-In Parade include a parade that goes through the historic mining community of New Almaden.
The celebration continues at the New Almaden Community Club following the parade. After-parade festivities include BBQ lunch, games for the kids, bake sale, raffle, and country music and dancing.
The parade includes participants such as the Santa Clara County Horsemen’s Association, San Jose Ukulele Club, Local and State Officials, and Santa Clara County Park Rangers. New Almaden residents and neighbors are encouraged to “jump-in” and join the parade. You will see plenty of horses, vintage automobiles, and fun costumes.
New Almaden Day and Jump-In Parade is at the New Almaden Community Club on Bertram Road on Saturday, September 10, 2011. The parade starts at 11am, and the post-parade festivities begin at 12pm.

I would have loved to attend this, as I heard so many stories from my Father years back regarding Old Almaden; however, I already promised to take a young tree to plant on my friend’s property in San Martin tomorrow. Hopefully, you have this event each year…….
