The New Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum will be presenting a special event on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 11am to 3pm. “Living History Day” will take place at the Casa Grande in Almaden Quicksilver Park.

This spectacular home was once occupied by the managers of the New Almaden mine and its Victorian heritage has been maintained by the staff.

Docents dressed in the costumes of the period will be present to give tours of the elaborately decorated rooms and answer questions about the museum exhibits on the history of mining.

Children will have the chance to make and take home Dia De Los Muertos craft projects. For more information, please call (408) 918-7774.
