4th Annual / 2011 Dandiya Raas Night Fundraiser for Leland High School

Leland Parent Club is hosting its annual Dandiya Raas Night fundraiser. This year’s event will feature live music by the famous Bay Area duo Asim & Madhvi Mehta.

Dandiya Raas Night is an enchanting evening of ethnic folk dance. Dandiya Raas is a high­ energy group dance from India that is rhythmic and fun for everyone. Beginner instruction will be available. Children and adults are welcome.

Last year’s event had strong support from the Leland and Almaden Valley communities with over 350 people in attendance. Many were dressed in colorful traditional attire, and all had a fun and joyful evening. Leland High School students were well represented and their energy was evident on the floor.

All proceeds go to Leland High School academic enrichment programs, capital improvements, and student equipment and supplies. This year’s event is sponsored by Almaden Physical Therapy.
