Almaden Valley teens ages 12-18 are invited to submit their original photos with a “nighttime” theme. The photo contest begins on June 15, 2012 and ends on July 15, 2012. Almaden Valley Real Estate Market Update
This past week’s Almaden Valley real estate showed little change, and what change we DID see is consistent with what’s been going on lately.
The number of single family homes available for sale dropped slightly this week, from 69 to 64. The percentage of listings under contract increased from 45% to 50%.

Almaden Valley Real Estate Market Update
Almaden Valley real estate showed a slight increase last week, but not really enough to say there was much of a change.
We saw an increase in active listings from 65 to 69 single family homes. The number of pending listings dropped from 46% to 45%.
The number of distressed (i.e., foreclosure, short sale, and auction) properties has been increasing slightly and have been coming on the market over the past several weeks.

The New Almaden Quicksilver Mines and Museum will be the subject of the next presentation at the Milpitas Historical Society meeting.
Doug Bergtholdt will speak on the New Almaden Quicksilver Mine and its background, geology, and the fascinating social history of the town of New Almaden, with photos and stories that make the area come alive. A film about the New Almaden Quicksilver Mines will also be shown.

Almaden Valley Summer Concert Series for 2012 offers a great evening of Summertime musical enjoyment.
